Sally O’Grady is a producer and director whose  work is concerned with illuminating social issues in a visually unique manner. As an HSP with chronic low self esteem, she is amazed to be able to work creating video/ films/ doccos - a vocation that fills her with contentment and regularly with all out joy. As a producer, she has created content for National Geographic, History Channel, The Smithsonian, MSNBC, PBS and Discovery Channel. Sally has also worked as a producer/director of branded content and commercials for Quicken Loans, ASICS, T Mobile, Tito’s and others. In a former life she was  a health educator at Australia’s first ever Medically Supervised Injecting Center working with street based drug users and sex workers. Sally's recent documentary work includes the ITVS/ Independent Lens funded short documentary, Constance about a progressive district attorney in rural Texas. She also has a feature film, The Trouble I See  in post production. The Trouble I See explores  family separation through the prism of mass incarceration and has received financial support from the Austin Film Society and Virginia for the Humanities and has participated in the Hot Springs Documentary Film Forum work in progress screening. She and co-director, Jennell Lewis are working on two web series for PBS (Dead & Buried and Good Blood). Originally from Sydney, Australia, she now lives in Austin, TX where she co-owns a production company, Electric Pearl.
